Question: Who throws everything into the balance for the music? The band “Von Welt.” Because at the point where other musicians pull the ripcord to finally finish their business studies, Von Welt have spun a line: namely, the one that connects them with the well-planned everyday life between studies, job and home town.<\/p>\n

True to the motto of their very first single “Raus”, released in 2016, the band has been touring Europe and not least Kazakhstan for three years. Tired of having to convince promoters:inside of themselves for a festival slot or begging labels for the long-awaited deal, Von Welt have simply turned the tables. Equipped with an innovative idea called “silent concerts,” the band didn’t care whether the industry was interested in them or not. Equipped with 30 headphones, Von Welt easily turned any place in the world into their stage by simply playing wherever there were people wearing their headphones. The band released their first EP “Milliardenstadt” under their own label Modern Post and sold 4000 copies along the way.<\/p>\n

Even in times of slumping CD sales and Corona, the four guys don’t let themselves be deterred and remain inventive. Again. Because since May 2019, the band released month after month each of their album songs on their debut album Schwarz, simply as single releases. The “Silent Concerts” they moved unceremoniously to the Internet and specially created a concert series. Recently, the one million streams on Spotify were exceeded and the strictly limited fan box to the album is sold out. The debut entered the official German album charts at number 35.<\/p>\n

For their album Schwarz, Von Welt went back to their roots in the depths of the Black Forest and used these influences to create a style that is still reminiscent of “Milliardenstadt” in its gloom and mysticism, but at the same time comes across as more direct and catchy. Songs like “Schwarz Schwarz Wei\u00df” and “Vorkriegskinder” lay the foundation for a new, rousing rock sound, the likes of which have never been heard from the band before. Here you can clearly hear the influence of producer Christoph Wieczorek, who played a major role in shaping this new facet of the band.<\/p>\n

Catchy melodies transport lyrics that deal with life, love and – as we already know from the EP “Milliardenstadt” – the criticism of a society that has degenerated into digital existence and is destroying itself straight away. However, Von Welt do not raise the moral finger, but simply sing about the imponderables that their Generation Y faces.<\/p>\n

Von Welt have matured, their music has evolved. They can play, they’ve proven that over the last three years – and they’ve gotten even better at it. Von Welt is a forward-thinking band, willing to keep trying new things and keep their finger on the pulse. Thanks to their hustle and bustle, they have once again succeeded in being included in the 45th funding round of the Initiative Musik. We wish the band continued creative ideas and the bite to bring their music forward.<\/p>\n

Von Welt have become more mature; their music has evolved. They can play, that they have proven in the last three years and have got even better. Von Welt is a forward-facing band that is willing to try new things and is always in touch with the zeitgeist. It is through their hard work that they have once again succeeded in being included in Initiative Musik\u2019s 45th round of funding.<\/p>\n
