Martin makes moving piano music for dreaming away, reflecting and drifting. He was influenced by composers such as Ludovico Einaudi and Yann Tiersen, whose film music for “Ziemlich beste Freunde” and “Die fabelhafte Welt der Amelie” inspired a wide audience for this special kind of piano music. He is accompanied on this journey by his highly creative friends, who conquer the stages of life together with him. In the process, stories emerge, which in turn become new pieces. It sounds like a musical picture frame for memories. In other words: the soundtrack to his own life.<\/p>\n

The pianist and composer Martin Herzberg was born in Berlin in 1981 and grew up there. At the age of eight, he fetched grandpa’s violin from the attic and started taking lessons. As soon as it was financially possible, Martin swapped the violin for the piano. It was love at first note and so at 18 he had finally found his body-and-soul instrument. Only four years later, he released his first album, founded the label “Cloudbreak Records” and was continuously active as a musician from then on. He found his studies in musicology a burden that kept him away from actually making music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Martin<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, he completed this in 2012 with a doctorate. In the meantime, Martin has recorded and released four self-produced albums. His solo piano pieces in particular have become very popular. Inspired by singers like Mads Langer and Ed Sheeran, the need to express himself vocally also grew in him. The current album “Liebe & Tasten” (Love & Keys) from 2017 is therefore a double album, where one CD offers exclusively instrumental music, while the other also contains vocals. His fans are always delighted by Martin’s soft and melodic voice. Martin is an independent, self-made musician who works exclusively with friends and family. These also regularly accompany him on stage, so that guitar and strings additionally enrich the Herzberg music.\u00a0 This familiar atmosphere is also felt by the audience at every concert. Martin tours German-speaking countries several times a year. Time and again he fills halls in such extraordinary venues as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Hamburg Laeiszhalle or the Stuttgart Liederhalle.<\/p>\n

\nMartin Herzberg’s music always invites you to forget everyday life and dream yourself away into other worlds. For Martin himself, his music is the best way to connect with the moment, to listen to himself and to create “picture frames for memories”.
