Is your current music distributor not what you expected \u2013 and perhaps even a bit lame? Maybe not what they used to be? Did they cut you off, get rid of you or completely worsen the terms of your agreement?<\/p>\n

Sometimes you just have to switch things up. Switch to a distributor that is reliable, offers good terms, doesn’t let you hang \u2013 and will stay as long as you want. Do you want security without needing to constantly change distributor?<\/p>\n

In recent years, many distributors have gone out of business, have been sold or have had to change their terms \u2013 very often to the detriment of musicians. Not the case for us! recordJet has been, is and remains independent. We have been growing healthy and organically since 2008 \u2013 without investors. That was our approach from the outset.<\/p>\n

What does recordJet do differently?<\/h3>\n

We have consciously chosen to remain independent \u2013 without large corporations or external investors. recordJet is owner-managed, stays in our hands and is run by a crew who are passionate about their profession and the artists. Many of us have known each other personally for years. This has allowed us to develop continuously and steadily, to grow at a constant pace, and to carry on doing our own thing. This ensures stability, confidence and that our passengers are not left standing in the rain.<\/p>\n

Our models: flexible and fair<\/h3>\n

Business Class Basic<\/strong>:<\/a> one-time fee per release, for which you will receive 90% of your revenue.<\/p>\n

Business Class Premium<\/strong>:<\/a> annual fee, 100% of your revenue.<\/p>\n

First Class: our exclusive programme for hand-picked artists (e.g. Milky Chance, Kytes and more): personal support, label deals, playlist marketing and more. You need to apply<\/a> for this model.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how easy it is to switch<\/h3>\n

Moving to recordJet is straightforward. All you need is:<\/p>\n

The label copy<\/strong><\/a> of your release,<\/p>\n

Your codes<\/strong><\/a> (<\/strong>GTIN\/UPC, ISRCs<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong>, and<\/p>\n

the original files (audio + cover in high-resolution).<\/p>\n

Everything else is easy to manage from your recordJet dashboard. In general, your plays, followers, and artist pages in the streaming stores are retained when you switch.<\/p>\n

An important point is that your release may temporarily appear twice in stores to avoid interruptions. So plan to remove files from your old distributor about a week after uploading them with us and after the streams have been successfully transferred over.<\/p>\n

Full flexibility<\/h3>\n

There are no cancellation periods at recordJet. You can remove releases or individual stores, switch to a label, or book new services at any time. We are a non-exclusive distributor. In other words, you can also sell your music through other channels (e.g. at concerts or through your website).<\/p>\n

Our crew is located in Berlin and is there for you<\/a> \u2013 by email, chat or phone. Personal, uncomplicated and available in German<\/a>, English<\/a> and Spanish<\/a>.<\/p>\n
