Hip Hop and R&B at its best: Sumpa
Sumpa, whose real name is Christian Tshisumpa, is a young musician and producer from the Aachen area who, despite a successful football career, has decided to become a musician. His passion & mission is to make R&B big in Germany. The multi-instrumentalist is blazing a trail through the German musical landscape with his international aspirations and captivating melodies and lyrics that get under your skin.
His first point of contact with music was his brother’s guitar. He taught himself how to play and since then, this instrument has been an important part of his career. With Grammy award winner Rascal as a mentor and part of The Family Tree, Sumpa works on his own music and music for international giants. His sophomore project BROKE IN ’21, as well as his debut album are in the works.
CRAZY EP is Sumpa’s debut tape. It is an interpretation of modern music. Smooth samples meet sweet melodies accompanied by contemporary drums. Sumpa takes the listener on a 6 track-long journey which takes you from the beginning to the supposed end of a relationship.
Featuring LAYLA & HOTBOY CHADO from 555 Camp, feelings of joy, intimacy, vulnerability, as well as grief are created. With an elegant range, angelic vocals as well as a thoughtful approach to the project, Sumpa is one of the most interesting hip hop/R&B artists in the country.
