recordJet Selected: FLINTA FESTIVAL “IT’S FINE”
The team behind IT'S FINE want to create spaces for inclusion and dialog with their festival.
In this section, we present inspiring content from the vast expanse of the music universe once a month. Books, podcasts, events, people or simply special news.
Today we want to introduce you to a special festival that has never been seen before. On September 14th, the doors to the “IT’S FINE FESTIVAL” will open at Peter Edel in Berlin. The festival starts at 3:30 pm and will last until midnight. IT’S FINE is a feminist showcase festival that is all about networking, visibility and music. The organizers follow the motto “Stage for Flinta* – Space for everyone.”
The “IT’S FINE FESTIVAL” is more than just music
The “IT’S FINE FESTIVAL” wants to be more than just a festival. The festival should be free from gender norms and social rules. It should rather be a kind of “refuge”, a “safe space” that protects you from judgment and rivalry and, on the contrary, stands for unity. The organizers want artists and spectators to merge with each other at the festival. This should come about through the artists’ overarching performance. It should be a chance to immerse yourself in the music in an unfiltered way.
It’s fine to feel and not to feel
It’s fine to hold on and let go
It’s fine to run and race
or not to move at all.
Come in and feel,
it’s gonna be fine.
Who are the people behind the festival?
Thelma and her team behind “IT’S FINE FESTIVAL” and a close-knit ensemble of up-and-coming artists, networkers, social media managers, designers and thinkers who firmly believe that life is all about making things happen. For the organizers, it’s not just about putting on a festival. Their mission? To create a brand. A whole mentality around the essence of what “IT’S FINE FESTIVAL” entails. So artists are not just there to perform, they are the storytellers, the encouragers.
The team behind the festival says:
We want to transform the Peter Edel into a dynamic center of inclusion. With a line-up of 10 FLINTA* live acts and engaging installations. Among others, VANÈS and Marie Bothmer will perform live.
Thelma, the face of the festival, pours her heart into every live performance and touches the audience deeply. As an artist and songwriter who longs for real, colorful and safe moments on stage, she has taken matters into her own hands with this festival. All wrapped up in the concept of:
“Come in and feel it, it’s going to be FINE. We make “it’s good” big – with passion, empathy and meticulous planning.”
Maybe we’ll see you on September 14 at 3.30 pm at Peter Edel.
See you next time, at recordJet Selected!
