Fans of music and good artists – Ueli and Winson from "GOLDSTÜCKLi – The Podcast for New Music".

In this monthly feature, we will introduce you to inspirational insights from the great vastness of the music universe. Books, podcasts, events, people or just special news.

Today we want to take a closer look at the music podcast created and presented by Ueli Häfliger and Winson, “GOLDSTÜCKLi – The Podcast for New Music”. Like everything we showcase here, we love this podcast, and this time it is mainly due to the following two things.

Firstly, simply because it is good, and secondly because it has not only over 100 episodes under its belt, but also because it is expanding and is showing no signs of stopping. The two men have already made live appearances in the Swiss embassy, owing to Ueli’s country of origin being Switzerland. They have been to c/o Pop in Cologne and at the Millerntor Gallery and merch has recently become available.

Ueli and Winson – truly no strangers to the music industry

The fact that the podcast is so popular is also due to whom these two men are as much as their friendliness. They are more than just music lovers and musicians; they have grown together with the music industry.

Take Ueli. Before working as a podcast producer at Good Guys Entertainment, he showed his extensive musical expertise as Head of Music at FluxFM and FluxMusic from March 2007 to December 2021. Through this position, he not only established himself as a proven expert in the world of radio, but also built up valuable links with labels, management and artists. As a result, he often brought undiscovered acts to the radio for the first time or to the FluxFM roof terrace for exclusive live shows. He did this for Bonaparte, the xx, Passenger, Alice Merton, Lizzo, Aurora and many more.

Buddy Winson. Pop star of the early 2000s, with his hits “Wovon lebt eigentlich Peter” and “Liebeskumme is Luxus”, he is now a legendary radio host. He has had all the great artists & bands – from “Die Ärzte” to Emily King and Frank Zander – in front of the microphone. He is also considered the creator of the Morning Show in the Afternoon (FluxFM).

What is GOLDSTÜCKLi?

Each week, the two find six new songs that they think are good, important and worthy of recommending. But they are never alone. Through their contacts and their expertise, they always manage to get top-class, primarily indie artists in front of the microphone.

Their guests so far have included: Judith Holofernes & Pola Roy, Moses Schneider, Betterov, Novaa, Nicola Rost, MINE, Alex Mayr, Bulgarian Cartrader, Mauli and many more.

And as if that were not enough, there is also an ‘OLDstückli’ in the middle of the show, a so-called pop classic, to dig into and not be left forgotten.

What does GOLDSTÜCKLi aim to do?

The podcast is intended to be a guide in the confusing thicket of newly released songs, and of course also a source of fresh material for your playlist.
