Teesy: The soul singer and RnB artist on an impressive musical mile

Our Artist of the Month for December is the fantastic Teesy. Teesy is a German singer, rapper and songwriter. Born on 8^th December 1990 in Berlin, Toni Mudrack – Teesy’s real name – spent his childhood in the suburbs and tried his hand at both football and music. Eventually he decided on music and in 2005 fully committed to it and worked painstakingly on his dream music career. Teesy is not a newcomer – he first struck out on his own a long time ago. He has been active in the wider music business since 2012, and is now releasing “33”, his fifth studio album.

Teesy is an all-rounder who dabbles in hip hop, soul and emotional storytelling

He became famous for his versatile mix of hip hop, soul, R&B and pop, which he combines with emotional lyrics and a characteristic soft voice. His musical style is characterised by a special mix of singing and rap, that often expresses personal and reflective themes. His breakthrough came in 2014 with his debut album “Glücksrezepte” [“Recipe for Happiness”], which he released under the label Chimperator. Other successful albums such as “Wünschdirwas” [“Desire Something”] (2016) and “Tones” (2019) followed, which consolidated his status as one of the most original artists on the German music scene. In addition to his own projects, Teesy has also collaborated with artists such as Cro, Max Herre and Samy Deluxe.

Teesy is known for his live performances, where he is often accompanied by a band and creates an intimate atmosphere. His musical skills and talent for emotionally touching people have earned him a loyal fan base. Apart from music, Teesy is also involved in social issues and often emphasises the importance of authenticity and humanity in art.

Naturally, Teesy has been doing this for a while. He has experienced a lot. Has matured as an artist. What matters to him today is that you can change. His maturity can be clearly heard on his 2024 single “Interstellar”

Single “Meile” [“Mile”] and Album 33 by Teesy

“Meile” is the third single from Teesy’s album “33”, which will be released on 12^th December. Together with “Liebe = Krieg” [“Love = War”], it is a warm comfort blanket after a gruelling conflict and is the perfect feel-good song in the usual Teesy style. Gratitude, security, and the willingness to ask for help, or even to rely on help from above, knowing that you are in safe hands, no matter how uncertain the times feel.
