WiMP – New Music Streaming Service on Board

WiMP

Dear passengers, recordJet is welcoming a new co-pilot on board: the very likeable streaming service WiMP. WiMP is an acronym for “Wireless Music Player”. WiMP was established in Norway as a small streaming service, but is now also available in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Poland (further countries will be added).

Currently, WiMP has access to a catalog of approximately 20 million songs (and counting) and already has more than 400,000 paying subscribers in all four countries (and counting, of course). WiMP differs from its competitors like Spotify mostly through its editorial content, which is compiled daily by WiMP’s own editorial department of music experts across all music genres.

recordJet and the Test Winner

The German consumer organization “Stiftung Warentest“, which investigates and compares goods and services, has tested several music streaming services available in Germany, and chose WiMP (together with Spotify and the German competitor Simfy) as the test winner with an average grade of 2.5 (on a scale of 1 = very good; to 6 = insufficient). We’re absolutely thrilled with this result, because only the best is good enough for our passengers!

From now on, you can book our new co-pilot as an individual store package. All recordJet passengers can publish their already registered releases on WiMP for free – just write a short message to our support team and mention the GTIN number(s) :-)
