A 5 year upward climb: Digital Music Distributor recordJet celebrates its anniversary

– Berlin-based digital distributor celebrates and takes stock
– Additional personnel and chart successes
– 50% promotional discount for all new and existing customers

The young, Berlin-based digital distributor is not so young anymore. The 1st of November 2013 marks the start-ups 5-year anniversary. While nowadays firmly rooted in the capital, recordJet was founded in 2008 in Dresden with the goal of offering musicians and bands a fair opportunity to sell their music digitally worldwide. “Back then, recordJet was formed due to lack of alternatives”, said Jorin Zschiesche, Captain of recordJet. “We wanted to sell our own musical project online and were not satisfied with other distributors offers: too high shares, loss of rights, restricted freedom, long-term contracts, lack of transparency. So what could be better than doing it yourself?”

In the 5 years since its founding, recordJet has experienced a steep upward climb. “Having initially served only German-speaking countries, recordJet internationalized in April 2013 with the launch of our English-language website” said Carolin Wohlschloegel, Chief Marketing Officer at recordJet. Furthermore, Anton Butter and Matthias Schnarr also recently joined the recordJet crew as label pilots focusing on national and international clients. The label pilots allow us to offer labels an even better service. A direct contact person handles all aspects such as technical support, promotion and other customized services.

We are delighted with the positive feedback we have received from all sides for this strategic step”, Jorin Zschiesche commented on the expansion of his crew.

In the last few months and years, recordJet has made itself known time and time again through its various chart successes. In addition to artists such as Baba Saad, footballer Andreas Goerlitz ´ band “Room77” and the YouTube stars “DieLochis”, Milky Chance are likely the most well-known and successful passengers of the Berlin-based company.

Naturally, there is a gift to mark the 5-year anniversary. recordJet is giving all new and existing customers a 50% discount on all fees for adding a single or an album. The promotion runs until the 5th of November. Information can be found here: www.recordjet.com/blog
