What were neighbouring rights again? These are so-called secondary exploitation rights that relate to the use of audio and audiovisual recordings. If recordings that belong to you are publicly performed or broadcast, you are entitled to royalties for the neighbouring rights. This income is made up, for example, of the use of your songs on the radio or television, public performance in clubs, bars or shops, digital distribution via streaming services and online platforms. As well as from blank licences for PCs, tablets or smartphones and, of course, when your music is commercially reproduced.
