Authentic, personal, punk: A band called BABE

What does it sound like when Dua Lipa falls in love with punk music? What happens when Rafael Nadal suddenly swaps his tennis racket for a massive electric guitar?  This band’s serve is world class and at least as exciting as the answers to these questions. A band called BABE: indie punk pop from the capital.

Lead singer Lulu and guitarist Robin stand for authentic German-language rock music – lively punk attitude with zeitgeist, driven by the vibes of the 80 ́s and yet somehow completely different. The result: Caution, high voltage!

The two combine contrasts of music, personal stories and lifestyle so skilfully that you can almost grasp their charge. The vocal haute couture and cool presence of the front woman meets the crazy wildfire of her male counterpart. They create a mesh of impulsiveness, expression and control that captivates everyone.

BABE hits where the heart & soul of every music lover reside: they are the pacesetters of a new movement that the German music landscape has been waiting for. Raw, fresh, crisp and with a clear line – like celery!

The lyrics hit the mark with a generation that has been missing the right soundtrack for a long time. BABE combine seriousness and entertainment, ruckus and brains, mosh pit and melody.

Their vision: to cross honest, handmade punk with modern musical influences and thus make it heard again, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

But what is behind this power duo? The two have not been a couple for as long as they can remember and met Mic Schröder (producer) in the winter of 2020.  Since 2021, they have been developing songs, goals and vision in the eleventwenty studios to make BABE a reality.  The plan is an electrifying self-directed serve with lots of love and uncontrollable energy – game, set and match for a band called BABE.
